With proper and gentle care, your bags and covers can be used again and again.
How to Clean
Use cool water only
Rinse gently under cool or lukewarm (never hot) water.Mild soap is okay
If needed, use a small amount of gentle dish soap. Avoid harsh or strong detergents.Air dry completely
Hang or lay flat to dry. Ensure they are fully dry before storing.
How to Use – Beeswax Bread Bags
Perfect for sourdough, sandwich loaves and everyday bread.
For best results, place the loaf on a clean kitchen tea towel before placing it inside the bag, then fold or roll down the top to close.
Store in a cool, dry place (not on top of the oven or near heat).
For very crusty bread, leave the bag slightly open so the crust stays crisp.
How to Use – Beeswax Bowl Covers
Gently stretch the cover over the bowl — your hands will warm the wax slightly and help it cling.
Ideal for salads, fruits, leftovers, rising dough and snacks.
Always let hot food cool down first before covering.
Suitable for fridge and benchtop storage.
Freezer use: Only recommended for Beeswax Bread Bag 2.0 with the extra cotton layer.
Very Important — Keep Away From Heat
To protect the beeswax coating:
Do not use hot water
Do not put in the microwave, oven or dishwasher
Do not place on hot pans, near open flames or in direct strong sunlight
Heat will melt or damage the wax and shorten the life of your product.
Storing Your Beeswax Products
Store flat, folded, or gently rolled in a cool, dry drawer.
Keep away from heaters, stovetops, and sunny windows.
A little care in how you store them will help them last longer.
♻️ When They Get Worn
Over time, the wax may crease or lose some grip — this is normal.
You can:
Refresh the wax
Warm your oven to 50°C, then turn it off.
Place your beeswax item on parchment paper on a baking tray.
Put it into the warm (but switched-off) oven for 30 minutes.
The gentle residual heat will soften and redistribute the wax safely.
Remove carefully and allow it to cool completely.
It may feel firm at first, but will soften naturally with use.
Compost them
When they reach the end of their life, simply cut them into strips and add to your home compost or green waste. They will break down naturally.
